TL;DR

• Lists like software and documents read best as a table.
• Every document shows the system it lives in.
• The metric tree links each goal to the number that measures it and where that number comes from.

   Open Systems > Software and choose Table for a list.

   Open Documents to see each document and the system it lives in.

   Open Metrics > Metric Tree: what the business is trying to achieve, and how each goal is measured.

   Each outcome is measured by a metric, and each metric names the system its number comes from.

   Metrics drive each other. Supplier on-time delivery and design iterations drive the on-time launch rate.
